This year marks the 60th anniversary of the 45-rpm single. To celebrate the milestone, Rhino will spotlight songs originally issued on 45 by offering them as digital singles bundled with their original B-sides and artwork. Picture sleeve art will be included when available.

 

In 1949 RCA releases material that had been on 78s only-they release 76 "box sets" and 104 "singles" -they color code the releases to the type of music

Red vinyl with dark red label = Classics
Blue vinyl with blue label = Semi-Classical or Popular Classics
Yellow vinyl with blue label = Children’s
Green vinyl with green label = Folk/Hillbilly/Country
Orange vinyl with gray label = Black or Blues & Rhythm
Black vinyl with peacock label = Pop
Light blue vinyl with black label = International
